Description
Two of the things that separate a smooth construction project from a chaotic one are clean documentation and a real safety program. This course covers both.
In the first half, you'll learn how Requests for Information (RFIs) and Submittals actually work on a jobsite — not the textbook version, but how to write them, route them, track them, and keep them from becoming the reason your project falls behind. You'll see what makes an RFI clear enough to get a fast answer, how to manage submittal logs and shop drawings without losing track, and how to keep your paper trail tight when schedule and liability are on the line.
In the second half, you'll build out the program every California employer is required to have: the Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) under Cal/OSHA Title 8, Section 3203. We walk through all eight required elements — responsibility, compliance, communication, hazard assessment, accident investigation, hazard correction, training, and recordkeeping — and show you how to turn a generic template into a living program that holds up to inspection and actually protects your crews.
By the end, you'll be the person on your team who can keep the project documentation airtightand keep the company compliant.
Taught by a risk and safety consultant with 30+ years in construction and municipal safety.
